Dr Alex Ng was born and raised in Sydney. He initially completed a Bachelor of Advanced Science at Sydney University majoring in physiology. Passionate about health sciences and people, he continued to complete medical school at Sydney University in 2014. He was privileged to be given the opportunity to experience rural medicine first-hand being invited to spend 1 year of his training in Dubbo with the School of Rural Health. He completed his General Practice training in Southwest Sydney and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2019. He has also completed the Diploma of Child Health.
Alex is keen to help train the next generation of General Practitioners and is a Quality Assurance (QA) examiner for the Fellowship CCE exams run by the RACGP. He is contracted by the RACGP to run External Clinical Teaching Visits (ECTV) to teach GP registrars.
Alex is passionate about quality evidence-based care for patients from all walks of life, with particular interests in paediatrics, chronic disease management, travel medicine, men's health, and preventative holistic medicine.
Alex's other pursuits include long distance running, hiking, photography, skiing, piano and spending time with his young family.
Apart from English, Alex is also conversant in Cantonese.
Alex has been working as an independent tenant specialist GP under Qualitas Health at Letitia St Clinic in Oatley since 2022.
